Ⅰ. Establishment
Due to different levels of handicap, different assistive tools are needed to help the handicapped with their learning, communication, and daily routines. The students of this master program are expected to develop into professionals with expertise in both theory and practice of assistive technology. After graduation, they are capable of designing proper assistive tools to facilitate learning and daily activities for the handicapped. The handicapped are thus enabled to adapt well in daily lives, at school, or even at work. In addition to training professionals of assistive technology, this master program also aims to initiate a domestic certification system, thereby solving the problem of the shortage of eligible workers in this domain. |
