For the industrial demand, southern academic environment, school’s location, faculty’s specialty, and the major area of science and technology development shown in 6th National Science and Technology Conference in next four years (like biology and biomedical, prospective material and chemical, energy and environment, computer science and information and software, telecommunication system, micro-precision mechanic and mechatronics…etc.) based on science and technology integration and industrial development, there are three major directions as followings,

  1. Micro-Precision Mechanic and Mechatronics
    1. To nurture high-level professional engineers and researching talents of mechanical engineering technology for meeting the development of national science and technology, and upgrade the level of mechanical industry.
    2. To combine with machinery, electronics and electric machinery industry and integrate mechanical design, precision manufacture and measure, automation, thermo-fluidic analysis, opto-mechantronics , micro-nano technology, applicable material technology and R&D talents.
    3. Industrial automatic formulation, design, management, equipment, manufacturing technology, and the researches of mechatronics and computer manufacturing technological integration.
    4. The demand in southern area, including micro-precision mechanic system, nano manufacturing and measure, mechatronics integration, advanced manufacturing technology, vehicle component design and manufacturing, and precision mould design and manufacturing.
  2. Electronic and Energy Engineering
    1. The electronic area lays stress on nurturing high-level talent who has ability on design, formulation and integration, and learning semiconductor manufacturing and electro-optical…etc.
    2. The relative technological research of energy and material through recycled energy system engineering, energy catalyzer technology, fuel cell, nano-porous hydrogen saving matter, energy saving illuminant, solar module manufacturing, recycled energy, green building brutalism research, automatic information management, virtual reality, Ecological Engineering Methods, green building formulation areas…etc.
    3. To open energy and material courses with domestic and oversea faculty from community college, government, and industry, and provide educational training programs from R&D organization and relative companies.
    4. Information formulation with integration software, digital matter, channels…etc which government currently leads an impetus actively, including built-in system software (integration hardware and software), digital matter industry (integrated digital matter and channels), digital learning (integrated information and education)…etc.
    5. The target of communication formulation is to nurture high-tech professional talents with independent R&D, application and operation. The major R&D points of professional and practical courses are wireless communication circuit design and communication system chip design…etc.
  3. Innovative System Engineering
    1. Intelligent system formulation of humane, science and technology integration
    2. Advanced science and technology splint design and manufacture
    3. Future intelligent living system and interface exploitation
    4. Innovative industry design and marketing
    5. Senior nursing system
    6. Medical mechatronics integration system
